reviewsI thoroughly enjoyed the experience, the enthusiasm of the actors was tremendous….so WHY is it closing???????
Amazing show and ao involving ! Shame it's ended early
The experience was not enjoyable, I attended with my two children (aged 9 and 13) who are big fans of Dr Who, so I thought it would really engage them. In fact, far too many people were packed in so you couldn't hear what the actors were saying as there were multiple groups simultaneously going on in the same space, the resultant noise was overwhelming and confusing. Some actors simply were inaudible, others were shouting. At one point I was separated from my children and couldn't even see them, I had no idea where they were, which was not acceptable to me. There was no attempt to keep groups together, even when families. As a result of all this, the actual plot of the show was entirely incoherent, I didn't really know what was going on and I could tell other audience members were in the same position. The special effects were generally mediocre as well. I can say that the set design was very good, as were the costumes, and the actors really did their best, all credit to them. But I certainly would not recommend this. And for anyone with neurodiversity challenges I think it could be really quite a difficult experience because it was sound bombardment and horribly crowded - not in a good way. We were specifically told not to take photos so none supplied.
Well acted. Kids loved the frenetic energy. The opening in the control room was a little crowded and couldn’t always hear the actors or see what was happening. Otherwise great
Chaotic, unstructured, confused, inept, rude characters and staff. From entering the cloakroom staff member was rude, following directions to check in all coats got abruttly told if you don't like it take your coats with you. The oeamble was carried out away from those queuing and checking in coats so we were unaware of what was said so we went into the first part unaware of what was going on. The next stage was just six or seven staff members shouting at the six or seven groups that had been admitted neaning who knew what was happening, the groups fractured and were not kept together. We did not have clue what was going on as we entered the ne t section. This already had groups in and ours just added to the crush. Characters were just shouting trying to be heard above each other and groups were being led around crashing through other groups and nobidy really knowing what was going on. It all became pointless being there and when we asked a staff member could we go to the next section we were led to one of the doctors who said we would just have to wait our turn whatever that meant as we were the inly people there. At this point we asked to leave, which took time before we were shown to an exit point. We have been left feeling the whole experience was just an unproffessiknal, chaotic mess which wasn' worth the money. The only polite person we encountered was the security guard who was very pleasant and helpful. The only recommendation we can make is avoid this like the plague.
Amazing, was really impressed
Great experience. It was a little chaotic at points in the beginning with the overlapping storylines and characters but it really came together. The acting and production design was top tier!
I expected this show to be much more like the old Dr Who. We had to stand the whole time and the flow was very strange. Don’t waste your money on this show.
Loved the enthusiasm of the actors and the sets. You definitely get more out of this production if you let go of inhibitions and join in the fun. They also packed in plenty of characters and villains. The only criticism is that we were left unsure what to do or where to go a couple of times but we just attached ourselves to a passing actor and the action started again. We also missed a couple of elements but impossible to get round it all in two hours. Thoroughly recommend as long as you’re not too shy!
Excellent show, cast is great. Must see for all Doctor Who fans.
Am amazing immersive experience. I took my 11 year old grandson to the show and he was the only child at that particular performance. The cast made him feel really special, pulling him right into the narrative - very kind and talented actors! The whole affair was brilliant; an action packed, frenetic, unpredictable and beautifully realised show - so much better than I could have imagined, with minutely detailed sets and an intricate plot that whizzes back and forth in time. Absolutely superb!
Really captured the frantic nature of the show, great acting, good sets, I was a little confused at times but tbh the show is like that too. Overall had a really good time.
